Stevenson Sean, I have made a number of ice dives, using both the Blizzard and Maximus. On two occassions I have had to deal with free-flow problems using the Blizzard, no big problem. On both occasions water temp was between 34 and 36 degrees. I have since purchased the Maximus and have had no problem with it of any kind. Hope this helps.
