Subject: Rebreather O2 considerations
Date: Mon, 22 Jan 1996 21:56:20 -0500
During Tek I noticed that there were different hoses and clamps and
such used for each system. I was curious what special materials, if
any must be used or are used for the loop and counterlungs. I noticed
Stone's unit had hoses that were fabric covered.

Does the high O2 potential in nitrox rebreathers mean quick
deterioration of hoses/diaphrams or counterlungs? How often are things
replaced or "refurbished"? Some folks have asked about using BCs for
rebreathers, but will the typical BC bladder be compatible and hold
     up?

     Thanks--DD
