Subject: Batteries memory problem

Hi,

     Everybody heard or experienced the memory problem with batteries when
they are not discharged and recharged properly. The battery will lose most of
it's capacity.
     I heard that crystals form in the cells during that degenerating
process.
Saving the battery is supposed to be possible by using an ultrasonic cleaning
device like those used to clean empty pistol cartridges cases. The ultrasonic
waves simply break the crystals.          Did  anybody try that ?
