No I'm not a pervert. Seriously though, I use twin 10 ltr 300bar steel faber cylinders. These are plumbed together using an MDE modular isolation valve manifold. I also use Zeagle twin wings with this with cam bands. Lastly I'm a dry suit diver. Now the problem I found is that I cant reach the manifold to isolate a cylinder due to the reduced flexibilty of using a dry suit and the fact that the cylinder valves are lower than say a 12ltr rig would be. The only way I can manage is to loosen the straps on my wings( theres 7 of them when you include the crutch straps and my attached SMB bag that straps round my thigh), which is OK if your kneeling on the bottom but not easy in mid-water and is a little time consuming. I tried rigging the cylinders higher in the cam bands however this sets the weighting all wrong. I've puzzled over this for months now and cant find a solution as such. Is it that I just rely on having briefed my buddy/dive companion on how to do it for me ? I'm not really happy with that idea. I dive with the isolation valve closed so that in affect the cylinders are independant. If I cant close down the faulty side and open the isolation valve it wont be a tremendous problem as I dive rule of 1/3rds and obviously would abort the dive at that point. Any constructive thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards Lawrence Orchard.
