Chris, great points. A little clarification on your hoses: having the long on the right post and short on the left, with pressure also on the left, and inflator coming from the right relieves any confusion as to where the problem is as far as shutting down the first stage - no criss-croses to disguise the source of the problem. However, other than the hp hose they all will be near the back of your head where you can hear the gas flow, and important signal to a problem. The hp is so loud that you can still hear it away from you. I know what you meant, but it sounded funny - they are still behind you head, but not crossed in the sense that the one appearing to come from he right is actually on the left, and so on. Most counter arguments will center around a particular phobia, like "I want the guage on the side I am breathing" (the can't count phobia), or "I want the main hose on the left so I know when it turns off" (the shouldn't be diving phobia), or the one's Gary mentioned , all of which indicate unreasonable fear of diving, and of the famous unseen demons, taught so well by many instructors, mostly U.S. cave diving types. -G
