Dan Nafe A & P Mechanic, CFI, COMM, MEL But many diving expeditions are likely to fly to remote diving sites not by modern standard airliners but (at least for part of the flight) by other sorts of plane, older or smaller, that don't pressurize their holds, as compelled by the limit of what can land near their diving site.
