> > > If the strokes who are promoting this DID inform the participants, > they would not do it. If they informed them properly , they certainly > would not. - G have to agree with you on this one, narrowly anyway, if every one would just tell the fucking truth about how dangerous it really is and how fucked up they get down there instead of trying to be tough maybe it would make a difference.. but when the little guys like me tell my students that they wont come back all they have to do is read articles about how some tough guys can.. then they think i'm a pussy (excuse me ladies) and just can't take it.. or that there are better divers out there that can.. i'll never forget the day when one of my students (who swims three miles a day) made a comment when i called a dive due to <<extereme>> currents, some- thing to the effect of "do you think mabye if you would have been in better shape you would have not called the dive"... duh!!! on top of that there's all the buttwipes out there that have never been on a deep dive that tell the world that they have.. i love to ask them when they come in the shop: goes something like this... "oh, ive been deep, there's nothing down there" really, how deep, "oh, 350fsw or so", really how was your narc? "oh, none at all" really, what did you use for a depth guage? "my scuba pro console" ah, what tank did you use? "oh, a steel 72" wow, what was your bottom time? "around ten or fifteen minutes", wow, youre good on air arent you? "hell yeah".. what tables did you use? "navy of course, who else goes that deep?" damn this feels good doesn't it trey. aloha, dp
