The cost for my insurance policy increased by 15% this year. This is probably an impact of the Coroner report in Quebec (Canada) who wants to responsibilise the training agencies and the trainers even more for any mistake made by divers. The result is that our insurance cost is becoming nearly as high as 50% of the insurance cost for an instructor in the US. The message from the Coroner and the journalists here is now: "WHATEVER happens to you when you willingly go underwater is COMPLETELY and ENTIRELY your INSTRUCTOR'S responsibility!
