You have to start with a baseline of O2 toxicity hits vs. time and depth and ppO2. If you insist on HUMAN experimental data, you can only get this baseline by putting HUMAN divers in O2 tox situations and measuring the hit rates. THIS IS ETHICALLY UNACCEPTABLE; it is too easy to kill your HUMAN experimental subjects. Once you have that baseline, you then have to start feeding more divers antioxidants and then putting them into the SAME O2 tox situations, and measuring the hit rates. THIS IS JUST AS UNACCEPTABLE; YOU ARE RUNNING THE SAME RISK OF KILLING YOUR HUMAN SUBJECTS. This is why we do animal studies, for crying out loud.
