I have no problem whatsoever with WKPP postings. My ad hoc definition of 'technical diving' would have to be along the lines of using the best information available and the most suitable techniques to extend the range of diving. This is basically cutting edge diving on all fronts. It often involves the development of new equipment, techniques and attitudes. I know that what brought me to this list was to find out more about the problems of deep diving and the kit and attitides of the people that were doing it. I don't mind whether the people who have good information to share are diving in caves, wrecks, fresh- or sea-water. The limits of safe diving ( statistically safe ) are physiological and the body doesn't care about pointless bigotry regarding where people dive. TechDiver has a useful archive which if searched shows thats TechD is quite an informative platform. At least I found some good information. I hate forming snap opinions of people but Ms.Hardman ( Not so good to find ) is sadly deluded about 'tech' diving. She should appreciate that technical cave divers are making a useful contribution to the 'technical' diving community and are of wider interest than being pigeon-holed as a subset of cave divers. Look at what WKPP is doing. I don't expect to see any useful contributions from Jim King. I don't expect his shiny bonsai balls are going to be a problem but I think his head will impede his progress in all but the largest caverns. In short ( hah ), STOP complaining and whining and if you don't like what's on the list CONTRIBUTE something more relevant. Safe Diving, Cheers, Andy.
