Yes, we have the latest video, and it is the best yet of
B Tunnel and has some shots from Sally Ward that were missing
from the last video. Gavin suggested we put those in, as there
is a really interesting geological occurrance that did not come
out on the last filming, so we reshot them on a setup dive.
When we made this vid, it was for the NACD workshop, and
showed some gear things and the team working on scooters and
some erercise stuff we do. Apparently , this was found to be
offensive, so I have not yet decided whether to put it out.
We will have one of the regular TV shows that we could show at the
NSS conference, depending on how severe the censorship is there.
They may not want the rest of the commununity to see what is really
going on in cave diving, since they have chosen to distance themselves
from the WKPP.
We have finished filming a complete gear rigging, building,
and maintaining video . We just need to edit this and narrate it.
I will be using this to explain the how and why of everything we
do. I don't know how well this will be received, since there is
such a heated debate about what is right and wrong.
Here is the bottom line: if I get enough indications of
interest in these two videos, I will have them copied and sell them.
Enough means being able to cover the costs of editing and copying,
and still raise money for the Project. We need to buy regulators and
stage bottles for safeties, and we need to buy three habitats , and
we need gas money. The NSS and NACD have yet to support us , and
I will be making a STRONG note of that to the State, when we consider
open access to the new property they are buying. Laugh that one off,
Lamar.
We do have grants coming in, but we are always
expanding (we have just trained up a sixth deep gas team), and we need
to work several sinkholes at once, hence the need for more equipment.
We have been unable to find equipment sponsorship without strings
attached, (except from AUL and DUI). The others want to be able to
dive. The only way you dive with us is to make the cut - we don't
break the rules for anyone. I will spend my own money before I will
break a single rule, or put an unqualified diver in the water. We
are working some other angles, but things are clearing and we need
to get going.

is to keep the weenies from being able to harrass me just by hitting
the "reply" button. When they bounce the message and then have to think
what they are saying, they usually don't resend. This lowers the
incidental strokery that I usually get inundated with.
