I hear from flies on the wall at the CDS board meeting that
members are upset with me over several things: 1) insisting on
our diving rules, which they do not agree with, 2) criticism of
people who censored me (Bill Dooley), 3) criticism of Dive Rite,
4) criticism of Joe Odem's fine example set by deep air diving,
5) criticism of their policy of cutting lines back several
humdred feet from cave entrances, 6) and criticism of my
general unwillingness to play along with the status quo.
I would like to suggest to Lamar Hires, Joe Odem, Eric
Tasso, and the rest of these people that if I am so far off
base, maybe you could get on here and explain why. I can see
by doing a "who" on the lists that several of you are on here.
Let's hear your opinion. Tell me why I am wrong about safety,
equipment, deep air, censorship, cutting lines back, etc. Just
not liking me is not good enough. None of you have ever liked
me or my friends for obvious reasons - we have always blown
your doors clean off, and that won't change, so grow up and
tell us why I am so wrong and you are so right.
Tell me why:
you guys continue to hide cave from the community, put in line
without surveying (in Manatee State Park - weeenie lines of
course), refuse to share data on important caves that
the State needs, requiring us to have to go back and resurvey,
continue to badmouth the only group that is working to expand
access for everyone (WKPP) , continue to badmouth the only
organization that is actively trying to share its knowledge
with the community, continue to badmouth the only successful
cave diving organization out there, and continue to be
generally uncooperative with the community, etc.
Come on Joe and Lamar, let's hear it. WHY? Tell me why
when you and your buddies are trying so hard to get access to
Wakulla , that Lamar Hires could not bring himself to show up
at a ceremony there to give out an award from the Governor
(the same one that Mark Lenard says he will call to get WKPP's
access revoked) to cave divers for their work in protecting the
resources of Florida? Is it because this was instigated and
hosted by the WKPP? Wake up you guys - smell the coffee -
we are the ones making it, not ANY of you complainers.
At least one of you need to get on here and show us
your side of these stories. And quit carrying a wad of printouts
from the internet around. There is nothing I have said on here
that I won't say to anyone anywhere anytime. You may also want to
tell us which are real and which are fake, or would you like
me to hire someone to sort that out at the expense of the CDS -
I think I could drain the treasury pretty fast with one of my
Ft. lauderdale lawyers, and Mark Lenard will have to sell a lot
of Neutralites to fend that one off. I love a good fight, so
put up, shut up, or let's get it on.
