I don't buy any of it either except that a Seatsuits 5mm in 'stainless
steel' (if that's what it really is) is as warm as a Seasuits 7mm flock
lined suit so I don't care. It works. Someone on this list must work in a
place where the themal conductivity of different wetsuit materials can be
tested?
