  I have a Russian gasmask that is held to the head by a complete rubber hood
instead of by straps.
  P.S. Re air-supplying helmets, hard space helmets have been an automatic
feature of real and before that fictional spacesuits from the beginning,
presumably by analogy of from old hardhat divers' helmets before scuba came;
only once have I ever come across a fictional spacesuit with a soft hood
instead of a hard helmet, even though a soft hood can be carried about on
planet much easier than a helmet. Does anyone out there know of a real
spacesuit or complete pressure suit with a soft hood rather than a helmet?
