This "kind of thing" only happens when you make arrangements with people that are not professionals and do not value their word. If you do not like the way I treat people that is perfectly acceptable. If you do not wish me to speak before a certain crowd then no problem. However, when you invite someone and cancel at the last minute without honest reasons then you can't be considered a professional.
