I am getting real sick of Bill Stone's bullshit. The fact is he
pretended to want to do a "joint" project and then lied to all of us and
the State, screwed us over, and got what he deserved. Nobody in the US
cave diving community but a couple of the worst bottom feeding strokes
ended up diving with him. He had to get people from outside who do not
even own a drysuit.
His radio locatoin method, also used by us in some places, worked
quite well. He was able to follow our map and locate his beacons, and
did collect a zillion datapoints with his boy Fred Wefer working on
using MY map to correlate these points into a map, but unfortunately,
like so many others surrounding Stone, Wefer died before the job got
done.
Our Geolgist, Todd Kincaid, has used Stone's surface points to
correct our map data, and I have located Stone's beacons underground and
rectified them with my map. We now do not have to do any more of that
ourselves.
In the meantime, I put out a map prior to Stone's failed project on
our web site and gave data for it that were merely a reguritation of
Stone's own data from his first project, and added some of my own, but
showed none of the side tunnels nor anywhere near Chrokee sink, and
purposeely allowed a tranposition error to persist in that map which
preventted them from finding M Tunnel - a spectacular spring the size of
the main cave which goes near Cherokee itself. That map is skewed all
over the place by Stone's data, and if you plot it , it comes out way
west of the cave. I have the real map, and will put it out at the end of
June.
Stone is trying to say the the bee line between the sinks is the
distance - he needs to do a cave dive some time, and while I routinely
dive well past that, his strokes did not even get there in their heyday,
and yet they claimed distances much further- Stone , in his usual lying
manner, claimed that they "routinely did distances that WKPP did as
heroes". I do it in my fucking sleep. His guys never got to our second
scooter staging point in 90 days of trying their best.
Stone did not fool anyone with any of this . The State realizes that
this was a fiasco, and everyone knows that we held out and that he
followed our map and that his looks just like mine and just like
Kincaid's 3-D map. Everyone knows that radio location is old hat, and
everyone knows that we have it as well, but thanks to Stone, I do not
have to do it for that part of the cave.
This guy is a patheict dillatante with no regard for human life. The
fact is that everyone knows that the WKPP can pull these dives off in
one day with no problems, and yet he had to try to prove that he knew
better than me , and yet could not pull off jack shit in 90 days - and
the pricetag was over 1 mil and a human life - this guy is the bottom of
the scumbag barrel and needs to be treated that way, just like I teated
him from day one. And I was right, and I will continue to explore that
cave and the others without his stupid ass getting in the way ever
again. He is done in this game, and a loser .
