Why doesn't the fact that every time Rennaker opens his fat ass mouth, he seems to be spewing bullshit surprise me. Rennaker is one of the key players in the rapid demise of the cds, and they back him up 100%, go figure. Recently this piece of shit spewed lies and misconceptions about me also. I was called to do a recovery at Thunderhole, but my gear was torn down at the time of the call, so I notified Lamar to do the dive, and that I would also go to the scene to get more information for him. When I arrived Rennaker was already their, but what I didn't know was that he had been denied permission to get in the water by the sheriffs department (I guess they seen FA stroke written all over him when he got out of his van and all the empty potato chip bags hit the dirt). To make a long story short, when I thought this could turn out to be a rescue instead of a recovery, I borrowed the survivors gear, and started the search in my jeans and a t-shirt until Lammar arrived. At this point my core temperature had drooped to being hypothermic, and I had to exit the water, and Lamar continued in the areas I had not yet checked. He found the girl alive, got her to the surface and got credit for what he did. Rennaker now missing his chance in the spotlight starts telling people later on that he wished he wouldn't have lied and said he never dove Thunderhole and insinuating that he could have saved the girl himself, and that I showed up drunk and screaming at him and didn't even know that I didn't have a drysuit on when I got into the water. I filed a instructor ethics complaint with NSS/CDS, NACD, and IANTD and was given the same treatment that JJ was when Rennaker spewed bullshit about him. I also backed my complaint and sobriety with Lammar , and the dozen deputies and EMT's that were at Thunderhole. Rennaker told me the sheriff's department would lie and couldn't be trusted, the training director of the NACD also called me and said so what if you booze on your breath when your diving, thats no big deal. When knowbody took any action against Rennaker other than a secret hand shake, a pat on the back, and a please don't do it again Bill laugh, I told them to stuff my instructors card where the sun doesn't shine.
