True....not much to join but where does it go ? Does it line someones pocket 
or does it go into a fund to promote safe cave diving and cave preservation? 
Granted the CDS has a mountian of problems that need to be addressed but at 
least i know when i send my check in each year where at least a part of the 
money is going too.
