while wrere at it how about steve Berman circa 1992

waht are the "grandady" clauses regarding cross overs ect....

Not to mention the good old "nitrox" wars , I still have an "ed bets"
nitrox card circa 91 when there was only one leval "nitrox" certifiacation
, before every one takcked on a whole bunch of "padi" type levals to force
you into taking several "cources" that you had to work up to get certified.
Same thing keeps going ons.

A few bad guys "shit" on all the well meaning hard working instructors who
keep the bull shit factor to a minimum abd instead give you real life
skills that can one day realy save yourr ass.

Best money I EVER spent for diving was those two trips to Fl. for my full
cave card. Steve han no qualms about failing srudents. He sat me down and
told me exactly where I needed to get my shi fixed , gave me a bumch of
maske and left me a ginne for a couple ghours. Once I had a mask that
dident leak everry thing came together.

Interesting how a simple thing can couse so much tension and taks loading .
My mask kept leaking on me.

He even pulled a fast one on one dive. We were doing jumps , and he turned
the arrow the other way as he want by(I was leading , he was behind) and on
the way out he swam ahead looked at the arrow on waited for me on the side
it piuonted. I came up to the arrow , looked at it , looked around to get
my bearinngs and signaled the other way. He had a big grin on his face ,
and later told me that almost all the students blindy follw tha arrow and
that he does this to show the importance of situational awareness and to
show haoe easy ti is to blindy follw some one who is more experianced that
you , and go beyond your abilities.

Like I said , best mony spent, haven silted out a wreck since that course ,
boy is it nice to see on your way out. Cave with the good no bulshit
instructer is kind of like boot camp. You get your shit together or you are
out.
