Some battery manufacturers will provide documentation saying that
the particular make/model of battery has been tested, and does not
constitute hazardous material under section A67 of the IATA
dangerous goods regulations.

For powersonic batteries, this is somewhere on their website.
For Yuasa batteries, you need document QAT02-B, which I
have put on my web-site at http://www.subaqua.co.uk/QAT02B.doc.

I've just flown back from the US with my cannister torch, and
although I wasn't stopped, I know people who have been.
