I know this sounds like a novel idea, but could we also look at the fact that 
two Intro to Cave divers were running around beyond the Florida room on 
scooters?

The area is not good for scootering no matter what your experience level is.

Maybe it is just me, but it does seem as though these two were diving way (and 
I mean way) beyond their experience and training.
