To Cavers List,
   George asked me to stand up and be counted. The Odom in Akumal 
observations/opinions are entirely my own. My opinions are based on my 
experience as a full time educator/mentor and as a scuba instructor -scuba 
instructor trainer.  Seeing Odom's group learning cave and cavern instructor 
skills were never my intention. I was there doing my own thing and had no 
idea who he was, or originally what the group was doing. I was busy with my 
own concerns. It's just that after a certain point, things start to gnaw at 
your gut, and especially when it's in the realm of quality education and 
safety.  Since I'm not a cave educator I'll let the pros. in the NACD - 
NSS-CDS hash out what you cave educators are supposed to do.
   I can comment on the areas that I know well: Quality of Education and 
Student Motivation/Ability, something that seemed amiss when I was there.
