Spoke to Skiles, and he says he only shot the film, did not have anything to do with the story. Everyone's disappointment with this lies in the missed opportunity to explain the importance of the resource. Even Stone apparently feels this way, according to Skiles, but then Stone is done for good in this arena, so what he has to say now post-clusterfuck is as worthless as everything else that has ever come out of his mouth. I did not see the film, but heard that it does the usual: claims WKPP results for a bunch of clowns, plain and simple. My objection is to Skile's "raise the ante" comment below. There is no amount of money that can match the ante where we have it now, and that is well proven and documented. Also, Butt and the rest of these hypocrites ( like Chrissy "Mr. Liberal" Brown ) spent enough time wtih NGS people that one would expect the real story to have been mentioned, given that the Chairman of the Board of National Geographic is a well-known water environmentalist. Guess what : I TOLD YOU SO !!!!!!! ****** >From Wes: Hey Gang, > >You may want to tune into National Geographic Explorer July 7th at 8pm to see >a special feature about Bill Stone's Wakulla 2 Expedition. Karst Productions >field produced and shot all of the underwater work associated with the film. >In the end Bill Stone and his team achieved amazing 3D mapping results and >certainly raised the ante in the World of deep cave rebreather exploration >and science. Hope you enjoy! > >Wes
