Kyle---The problem I have had with suicide clips is that they will catch anything that comes in contact with the snap, hoses lines etc. If you put them on reels or backup lights they can easily come off if twisted on the d-ring. Bolt snaps (most anyway) have to be physically pulled back to fasten, and then only on what you want them to hook onto. The only thing I have suicide clips on is my scooter leash. I have had a scooter explode on me in the open water and believe me you need to get unhooked fast! I am thinking of changing my scooter clip to a stainless steel bolt snap they work smooth enough that, with practice, I could probably unhook as fast as a suicide clip.---Steve -----Original Message----- From: Dive4Hal@ao*.co* <Dive4Hal@ao*.co*> To: sallot@mi*.co* <sallot@mi*.co*>; cagraphics@mi*.co* <cagraphics@mi*.co*> Cc: cavers@cavers.com <cavers@cavers.com> Date: Friday, May 07, 1999 12:55 AM Subject: Re: Stage Bottle Clips >In a message dated 99-05-06 08:46:55 EDT, sallot@mi*.co* writes: > ><< Charles Ayash wrote: > > > > Ok > > > > Who else is brave enough to admit to using Suicide Clips on their > > Stage Bottles > > > > In the subject line just state "Im Spartacus" <G>------;) > > ------------------------->>>> > > Why would you use a suicide clip on the top?
