I don't use suicide clips anywhere on my rig except on the scooter leash. I
have had a scooter pop on me in the open water and believe me, you want to
get unhooked FAST. Suicide clips are to easy to get things like hoses etc.
hooked in them and just adds to a CF.---Steve
