Military convention requires that any numbering/lettering
that can be viewed in more than one position have the
entire sequence underlined. When I put the numbers on
the side of my tank, I ~always~ underline the numbers
to indicate bottom. I feel strongly that if the MOD
numbering ever becomes a standard (which I'm strongly
in favor of), that the underline be required.

- I, too, am in favour of the 'new' system. My question is thus: if there=20
are all kinds of hardware: bolt snaps, rope, etc. of the bottle how is it=20
then possible to mistake which way is up?

To me, W9 does not make any sense under water and when the bottle is=20
carried, how can it be the wrong side up?

Hilsen (Rgds.),
