Concensus ted is to use 3 inch marking , either feet or meeters , depending
an where you are , and if you are both using difrent gere , you can mark
both in M anf FT , with tape and thick marker.

This does keep it simple and allows you to use the same tank for several
uses . 
After filling and analyzing , just peel off and replace with the proper
markings.
