Depending on how cold the water is and how long your exposures are, you might be comfortable doing what we do - cut the end of the thumb, and index fingers off a pair of 2,3 or 4mm neoprene gloves, down to the first nuckle wipe aquaseal around the cut edges to prevent fraying). The gloves keep your hands warm, the exposed tips of your thumbs and fingers give you the dexterity and tactile sensitivity you need for easy manipulation of lines, knots bolt snaps, cameras, deco toys, etc. If you want more dexterity, take the ends of the middle fingers off the gloves, too. If you want more warmth, just do one glove. rgrds billyw
