Do you all remember when that worthless asshole Bil "Bird" Ostreich
passed out that letter from Gilliam about me? Do you all remeber how
indignant that fat piece of shit Gillaim was about this? Do you all
remember who went along with this?

I do, and I will not forget it, and it is not even close to being over
yet. Unlike most of the shit in the "community" , I do what is right and
stand up for what is right. Crap like Bird and Gilliam and FRIENDS do
not. We all kwow who the freinds are , don't we - the letter writers.

George,

Thanks, Next time I`m heading over to the states I`ll get in touch.

Just got my copy of the UK DIVER magazine this morning.
In case you didn`t already know, this month they have an article titled
"Rob Palmer, His Last, Crazy Week", written by John Bantin.

Basically the article is about Rob's death in 1997. John was on the
same boat as him in the days before his death and has an interesting
story to tell. The depths Rob was diving to on air are confirmed as
120m and he expressed an opinion that a PPO2 of 3 bar was "safe". He
was also heard discussing "The cosy effect of narcosis as it closes
around you". Rob seemed to do several 100m+ dives on air that week!

Rob was last seem at 120m, waving for his buddies to come deeper!!

I was always suspicious of the 'heart attack' bullshit mentioned at the
time and am glad that the 'truth' has been exposed in public instead of
just on these lists.

Considering it was Rob who swore by the expression "Attitude keeps you
alive" it seems strange that he should even contemplate the dives that
he did that week.

In the article they speculate as to why Rob did what he did - health,
marriage, his position in TDI and a mid life crisis are all mentioned
but no conclusion seems to be drawn.
