Randy, I may be of some help here. The problem that Ken is referring to is one of possible O-ring extrusion. The O-ring used to seal around the HP seat has shown a tendency to extrude and leak gas. The initial "fix" that was implemented was to remove any shims located under the top retaining cap. This effectively moved the HP seat downwards into the regulator body cavity creating a better capture effect of the O-ring. This also has the effect of reducing the IP which, in most cases, is not an undesirable thing. The current solution from SP is to replace the O-ring with one of a higher durometer. The higher durometer material has less tendency to extrude. I hope this is of some help. - JT PS I do encourage you to have this done only by a qualified tech.
