The fist good rain will knock them out of the game anyway when it is cold, and then the basin is miserable and nobody will show up to help them, and it will die out anyway. The best I ever saw that place as in 93 after a year of drought, and it rained once in January and I could not even get my bottles out until May. They have about two weeks before either the weather or the phsyical beating takes its toll. In my opinion, these guys are embarrassing - three weeks and four dives, none of which has made it to where we drop our first open circuit stage bottle when we are diving with new guys. When I am diving with one of the regulars, the first drop is farther than they went in the 87 project.
