I can tell you about Trucks. The best gas millage comes from the full size trucks NOT the half pints with the V6 engines. The Full size with appx a 350 large block will get you the best gas millage. ex. I had a full size Blazer 4x4 350. I avg 22mpg on hwy, running 75mph with A/C blasting. The key here is the effiency of the Large Block V8. Now if money is no problem a pal of mine has a Dodge Ram duelly. 3500 series with a Cummings Deisel and gets 29mpg on hwy. $30k That truck will haul all the lp steel tanks you can imagine and not even blink. I call that truck the Gavin of trucks. Chevys are nice but a bit expensive as well. Ford makes the best value Truck just be sure that the dealer puts Michelin tires on it, and you get the large block V8 Doubles are a snap on the tail gate. Vans?? thats JJ's deptartment.
