Unless you dive solo, it is beneficial to have the tanks marked in such a 
way as to allow your buddy to see what you are breathing (in water).  
Unless all tanks used will contain the same mix, then its moot.  As a 
human, and thus not omnipotent.  You are capable of making a mistake.  
This gives you, and your buddy(s) the opportunity to catch a possibly 
fatal error.
