This is a bit out of date but I have been away. Regarding the thread about the difficulties of pp mixing. I have seen some work done by a British based manufacturer which is about to launch an electronically controlled gas blending panel called the ANX Supreme which will solve many of the problems which have been identified. The unit has a built in microprocessor which allows it to automatically mix nitrox on top of a partially full scuba tank and produce any final mix for up to 300 bar. The operator just enters the existing O2%, desired pressure and mix, then presses a button, the rest of the process is automatic. The CPU handles compressibility factors and temperature variations and so should produce a very accurate final mix. The unit also has built in safety factors to prevent dangerous levels of adiabatic compression, has a redundant electrical supply to allow for power loss and shuts down in case of hose rupture/o-ring failure. I understand the unit will be at Tek and DEMA. Mark Caney
