NOT funny. There have been serious bends incidents and expensive emergency service callouts because of decompression stops aborted due to threatening sharks. Such a silly clown trick as described hereinable risking someone's safety deserves all the flame and reprimand available. DO NOT CLOWN ABOUT IN OR NEAR THE WATER. DO NOT CLOWN ABOUT WITH DIVING GEAR. What if he had aborted his stops because of the silly false alarm of shark, got bends, tied up a helicopter etc getting him to a chamber, tied up the chamber decompressing him, and then another emergency, diving or otherwise, arose and couldn't be attended to properly because emergency facilities were already tied up? NOT the sort of thing to give divers a good name with a government or other authority which at the time is wondering whether or not to pass laws restricting or controlling scuba diving!
