You left out the part about its incredible un-reliability.

I don't normally post negative things about dive gear, but this one has hit
home too often.

I bought an original Nemisis Nitrox. After 3 dives, it failed. Back to the
factory, for a free replacement. 3 months later, it arrives. New firmware
release, my PC software doesn't work. From this point on, the PC downloading
software never works again.

3 more dives, same failure mode. Seems they can not get the wires to the
pressure transducer to hold on tight enough, they break. And I'm not very
abusive to the unit, either. 3 more months.

Get new unit from them, along w/ new software. Again, software doesn't match
firmware. Unit works for 3 more dives, and same damn thing happens.

6 months this time, and a new unit arrives. This time, I trade the damn thing
in for a Bridge II, and buy another SPG.

While I agree that the principle behind the Nemisis is ok, even excellent,
the engineering execution is extreamly poor. This goes for the new units
also. I saw their damn ad in AquaCorps, "Look! We boil the wrist unit! We
freeze the wrist unit! We vibrate the hell out of the wrist unit! We run
a truck over the tank unit!" But didja notice that they never suspended the
unit by the Pressure Transducer and vibrated it then?

Thats just a mechanically weak pice of the system, and the tradition continues
through to the present. (Several friends have gotten the Nemisis II, and
have all sent them back to the factory for the EXACT same problem).

So, while not a statistical universe, I know of 6 divers who have used the
Nemisis. All 6 (thats 100%) have returned the unit multiple times for the
same problem.

Symptoms: Stops transmitting tank pressure unless you wiggle the transducer
wire. This fix lasts for a little while, then it goes out again, which sets
off the "you're outta air" alarm over and over again. MOst irritating.

I'd not recommend the Nemisis for anything yet. Its still not reliable
enough. They should have the transducer as a stand alone (aka Aladdin) and
if the computer is too big, put it on the tank or a belt or something. But
that weak link from the transducer to the tank unit needs much fixin, or
redesigning.
