     Scott,
     Although I don't know where to purchase the items you mentioned, 
     here's a simple way to modify your existing D rings for one handed 
     use:
     Thread your web strap through a flat stainless "weight keeper", with 
     the D ring in the center. The D ring will stay put, will fold flat 
     when not in use, and can be manipulated with one hand.

Subject: 'Billy' rings?

Can anybody point me at a supplier of 'Billy' rings?  These are d rings 
that stand up and stay up when you lift them.  I'd like to replace the 
rings on my waist so I can use them with one hand.
