Doug, great post. I am at Barry's house, so i am having trouble spelling. Can you give us some ideas on o-ring thickness relative to the diameter of the surface to be sealed and the pressure applied. Specificly, I am thinking of an example where a light container is sealed. If the o-ring is too thick, it will require much more pressure to seal than a thin ring, so may leak shallow. Maybe you could explain this, since nobody believes me. When the light goes deep, the containment integrity will then be the factor, as you already mentioned.
