Personally, I clean the inside of my BC two to three times a year with 'Chloramine', a commercially available desinfectant. However, I think this is hardly enough for something you want to breathe from. Does anyone know what is the procedure for breathing bags in rebreathers? Of course, I only want to point out that there is a potential risk involved. When the alternative is drowning, the choice is clear (to me at least).
