There are currenltly no IANTD courses offered in this part of Australia, which would require travel and accommodation to the nearest course site (approx 800km/500miles). The IANTD course structure appears to be too fragmented, involving small, short courses which the diving community and general public (who we rely on here for site access for diving) would have difficulty in comprehending. I agree with d.giddy that a concentrated approach to technical training would be preferable, however IMHO, IANTD may not find it economically viable to cater for a smaller group of the diving population. I will be waiting to see if IANTD and other training organisations can provide a simplified "path" to their courses (including recognition of prior diving experience) before I commit myself to a hierarchy of specialty courses. ___________________________________ FROM: Paul Arbon RAAF ARDU Edinburgh S.Australia 5111 Email: pra@ar*.ds*.go*.au* ___________________________________
