In my understanding, the light was tubular... When I took my mixed gas course with him, in 1993, I remember him telling us that the Dive Rite lights are more suitable for deeper diving as they use the battery to couteract the external pressure. If I remember correctly, he was using a Dive Rite canister which was sealed at the company (not with the o-ring and clamps) for his few lasts dives. May be someone has more information...
