I guess I mast jump in hear, after all the red sea is my second home ! water temp in the red sea is ~19 to 27 C with the hottest temp at late Aug and the coldest temp at the end of Feb. In summer you can dive without a dive suit of any kind but in the winter a good 5mm wet suit, hood and gloves are recommended. The biggest problem in the winter, as Didi wrote, is getting out of the suit. there are strong winds in the winter and the out side temp is ~15 C, which is not cold in European standards but together with the winds it gets very uncomfortable. and YOU NEED WORM CLOSE. Eileen, if I got you on time, from my last visit to Sharem (3 days ago) you don't need worm closes yet. take sum just in case. this time of year the wether change very fast and you can get caught in cold wether. There are sum very nice wrecks in the Red Sea. Not many dive them and they are in relative good condition (sum of them in recreational depth - 30,40m). Pleas Email if you need help ! Regards. Erez
