Fins 3 feet (1 meter) long seem @#%$ awkward to walk on land in, as has to be
done sometimes. Or to move about in small places underwater. Or even to store
in diving gear bags. I have better things to do than to have to fit fins as
long as pickaxe handles into a reasonable sized diving gear bag! It is all
right to say "put your fins on and take them off in the water", but I prefer
to put them on and take them off on land near the water, than to risk being
washed about in the water without fins.
