Subject: Dive Rite light failure?

Is there any truth to the story circulating, that a test on a Dive Rite 
battery canister failed at Eagles Nest?  I've heard that it was tested 
without batteries, to see if in fact the batteries were being used as 
bulkheads.  It was alleged that there was an implosion at around 150ft.   
Any information on this story will be much appreciated by any and all 
cave divers.  Especially those using a Dive Rite light.
