*** Resending note of 10/13/95 10:47 From: ddrake01 Subject: Re: Dry Suit Inflation Harold, I had the choice between the new fad, a 3000 PSI 6 CF Aluminum "argon" bottle and using a 2014 PSI 13 or so CF pony bottle. In the water, I don't notice the difference between the two as far a drag as my shoulders cut the water for both. I do know that when I'm out on a weekend trip and want to do 4 or more dives in the 150+ range, I don't feel like bringing extra gas-read another 80 or something high pressure tank. Also, if I need a fill from a my own 80 or a bud's, I can get a full fill that will last me several times longer than the soda can will. If you can't get argon haskeled, then you have less than 6 CF... That means function and capability to me that increases my safety vs. doing a dive with the soda can that's been topped off with air. Also, you simply have more reserve. Ever seen buddy team share an argon bottle? When it's cold, you'd do anything to get a warm shot of gas to the cold, blue, squeezed gonads and extremeties. I think that I have to agree with Gary and George. Must be a first.--DD David B. Drake Internet:ahdnn1a.ddrake01@ed*.co* Spring Hill, TN USA EDS/SATURN Infrastructure 8-320-4190 GMnet
