As another of my possibly botched reality checks... If we, as readers of this list, were about to enter the Autobahn, it would be really nice to have a nice Porsche, Ferrari, or what have you, but... That's some serious bucks for non-commercial divers. It would also be nice to have the credentials to get custom mixed racing fuel and take the exclusive driving school courses, but... If we can't afford either of the above, must we drive our Volkswagen Rabbits at a meager 55 mph? I mean, that's the law, right? I appreciate the input from George regarding the "law" with respect to dive safefy in his environment, but I can't help but think that he's one of the ones holding all the cards and can play the game by his chosen rules. Moreq power to him. But there is also the group of us here that are stuck with old VW and the self-service gas station around the corner. Now I'm not saying air dives to 1.6 ATA are OK. Nor can I accept the fact that >1.3 ppO2 or >130 EAD necessarily flies either; the answer is somewhere in between. We need both sides. But I don't know if either extreme of the spectrum is acceptable for the readership. Does that make any sense? [\] Jeff Kell <jeff@ut*.ut*.ed*>
