clarified that, what are you talking about?
If you are trying to tell me you have been trimix
diving for 30 years, that's bullshit. If you are trying to
infer that you knwo more about mix diving in caves than I
do, that's really bullshit. Not knowing the context of this
message, I don't know what you are talking about. I will
ask you this: if you have been doing it so long, why did
you give me so much shit aobut it when I started doing it?
Why did you give the people I taught to do it, like Tim
Mamone (who did the minesweeper with me and shot two fish
at 430 fsw) such a hard time about how I was going to get
them killed diving this newfanged home brew?
Tom, I know you have been around this sport for
longer than any of us, that's not the point. So let's
cut right to the chase. You are wrong about the nitrox:
there is no reason to dive high ppo2's , I already
explained it. You say that you are changing this. I
am behind you 100% on any inprovements you make. Why,
if you are the grand master, do you listen to the stroke
instrucors in you group and let thme tell you? On the
other hand, Bill Deans called me today , and he said,
"you guys do things exactly the way I do", and he
went on to say "isn't it interesting that we both
came up with he same thing independently of each other?".
Why not listen to Deans?
Tom, you are just being your stubborn self. You know
that for me to ask my group to let you dive in Wakulla,
you have to stop telling people it's ok to dive 160 aed,
and other goofy shit. Right now, I can not use Randy
McGuirre, because some dumb fuck taught him the wrong
way to gas dive. You also know that you have to make
apractice of rigging your gear properly, and yes, that
means there is only one right way - you know what it is-
my way.
I am sorry that we could not go with you to Andros,
I wanted to go with you since you "know the way", but
as I told you it was my son's 14th birthday, and I had to
take him and his buddies to Orlando, where we skated the
downtown - highly illegal and highly cool, went to the
Edge for 7 Mary 3 and some slamdancing, and then hit
a roller blade park with half pipes 15 feet high -talk
about adrenaline rushes. However, now that you have put
the first few thousaand feet in, I will have to bring
the "Guns" and the nicad express. We will of course, be
diving air , because we are good deep on air, and we will
be setting records on the wall in between cave dives.
After that, we will be able to talk with the others on
this list who think this is a great idea , too. - George
