I've been lurking for a few days now, so I suppose it's time for my introduction. :-) My diving experience is still rather low by this group's standards (PADI AOW, 60 dives), but I'm hoping to improve substantially on that this year both by reading a lot, perhaps a class, and by practice, practice, practice. My formal education led to a computer engineering degree, but I've always enjoyed a variety of sciences so the physics and physiology of diving hold a great appeal for me. Someday (time, money, and training permitting) I want to try my hand at cave diving, ice diving, and the use of mixed gases. I find rebreathers *very* intriguing, so as prices/risks drop perhaps they'll be in the picture somewhere...
