Hello,
Newbie here....
Do not know if this is the appropriate place to post such a question
so don't flame me to bad if it is. I am heading to Cozumel with a
group of 8 other divers in a week and a half. We are staying at the
Club Cozumel Caribe. I have a father that used to dive with a
converted fire extinguisher tank about 30 years ago. He has no C-card
and does not remember if his certification was ever documented and put
on record. He would like to dive but time has ran out for an
open-water certification right now. We called the hotel and they say
they charge $300.00 for resort certification. Does anyone have any
experience with these resort certifications? Also, is there any dive
shops that do certifications in Cozumel so he can dive with us? I
have checked him out in our pool and he can clear the mask and does
well in the pool so he will not have any problem with the actual
certification. Also, what is the going rate for these resort
certification in Cozumel?
One more item, We are going during what the resort calls Splash95.
Is anyone else out there going? If so what is your name and we can
meet when we get there. Has anyone gone to one of these Splash
sponsored events? What are they like? crowded?
