Subject: Thalassemia minor and diving

I'm doing medicals on divers and prospective divers and have come across
a man with thalassemia minor who has signed up for a PADI OW course. Is
there anybody with experience on diving and thalassemia minor who'd like
to share their knowledge? I'd hate to turn this guy down if there is no
real risk involved!
